Description

Ruth Levin is the recipient of the Segal Prize for Yiddish culture, and one of the leading interpreters of the Yiddish song in Israel.A great part of her repertoire is chamber music written by her father Leibu Levin, a well-known Czernowitz born Yiddish actor, singer and composer. She is also a translator of Yiddish and Hebrew poetry and drama, and she writes poetry in Yiddish and Russian. On the album "Tsigele Migele," she shares "a glimpse of the childhood world, how it used to be in the Jewish Atlantis.
